Imran has over 20 years experience in coaching and working with children. Imran comes from a background as a Semi Professional Footballer and is also a REPs level 3 qualified Personal Trainer. He has over 10 years Experience and qualifications to teach children in various martial arts. These include boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and grappling as well as broader experience in managing and coaching amateur and professional MMA fighters.
Imran’s desire in this field stems from his experience as a parent of five himself and of his exposure to working in schools and communities where physical education is often a neglected area. Aside from his passion to ensure the youth remain fit and healthy. He believes that sports and physical activity in general can help in areas of a child’s development that other classroom subjects simply cannot reach. These obviously include physical skills. But more importantly include those soft skills such as team working and competition. He’s also found that children who may not be so confident in classroom environments often find their confidence in physical activity sessions and in turn this increases their confidence and abilities in all areas of academia.

NASIR
UDDIN
“Academies within professional clubs range from early pathways often known as DPP (Developing Players Programme) all the way to U18’s. I believe the early development stage is the most fundamental stage of an athlete’s career as it is the make-or-break period. This is where they pick up the whole range of lessons from attitude, work ethic, to strength, mobility, speed mechanics and much more. They learn easily and recover fast, so if coached and cued well, we could make a potential world class athlete. If coached and cued incorrectly, you may have a dysfunctional player who spends a whole load of their time on the side-lines or visiting the physio and much worse. The lessons, skills and movement patterns that you can help them attain at this phase will hopefully stick with them for as long as they are active and that’s where my role lies.”
