Assessment

GoActivate activities and assessment are robustly modeled around the The National Curriculum for Physical Education at Key Stages 1-4. Please click here for further information.

At GoActivate we take a child’s physical education journey a step further and we do our best to understand the school or community we are working in and its own specific needs and requirements.

GoActivate offers within its assessments a GoActivate lifestyle model. Within this GoActivate has embedded fit tests for physical fitness and improved health. Fitness tests are usually executed over a period of lessons. They are designed to encourage children to not only improve their own fitness. But also to recognise achievements in their own performance and develop their own skills of self evaluation and self-improvement.

GoActivate has recognised that communities require a holistic approach to physical education and not just a one stop shop. Therefore children are given homework (both physical and theoretical where family members such as mums, dads, siblings, aunts and uncles etc are asked to participate). GoActivate recognises that a child’s diet is key to his or her overall performance not only physically but mentally too. Homework incorporates research that is designed to engage children in overall health and fitness including nutrition and science.
